Waterfalls
Laurel Falls
This waterfall stands at 40 feet and offers the shortest hike in the area. A tiered cascade tucked into a lush gorge, it's a quick reward for a short walk.
Foster Falls
Located about 40 minutes from Savage Gulf, this 60-foot waterfall plunges into a deep pool at the base of a sandstone bluff. A popular spot for swimming and rock climbing.
Savage Falls
This 30-foot waterfall sits inside South Cumberland State Park. It can be reached via a moderate trail and is one of the more accessible falls in the area.
Horsepound Falls
This waterfall cascades 40 feet into the Collins River, about 30 minutes from the Savage Gulf trailhead. It sits along the Collins Gulf Trail and is worth the walk.
Greeter Falls
Greeter Falls is a 50-foot waterfall that cascades into a deep blue pool below. The loop trail is under 2 miles and passes both upper and lower falls.
Suter Falls
Suter Falls is the crown jewel of Collins Gulf in Savage Gulf, with three tiers dropping through a narrow canyon. It's a longer hike in but one of the most dramatic falls in the region.
