Fall Creek Falls
Falling 256 feet, Fall Creek Falls is the highest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. A short trail leads to the base, where the plunge pool sits inside a wide sandstone amphitheater.
Cane Creek Falls
This 85-foot cascade along Cane Creek fans out across layered rock shelves before pooling at the base. A suspension bridge crosses above, and the trail down puts you right at the water's edge.
Cummins Falls
Located 30 minutes outside of Center Hill Lake, this 75-foot waterfall drops in two stages into a wide swimming hole. A permit is required to access the base.
Twin Falls
This impressive 80-foot waterfall was created as a result of the Caney Fork River damming. The trail follows the river downstream and rewards with views of both drops side by side.
Virgin Falls
This unique 110-foot cascade emerges from a cave, drops into a sinkhole, and disappears underground again. About an hour from Center Hill Lake, it's one of the more unusual falls in Tennessee.
Burgess Falls
This 136-foot waterfall sits on the Falling Water River, only 30 minutes from Center Hill Lake. The trail passes three smaller falls before reaching the main drop at the gorge's edge.
Francher Falls
This 80-foot cascade surrounded by steep bluffs sits on the shoreline of Center Hill Lake. Access is by boat or a rugged trail, and the falls run strongest after heavy rain.
